Showcase keeps track of the movies, shows, games, podcasts and books you care about, and shares them with friends. If something isn't working, or you have a question, here's how to reach us.
Get help
Write to our support address (coming soon). A person reads every message. Tell us what you tried, what you expected and what happened instead; a screenshot helps.
Report a problem from the app
The quickest way is from inside Showcase: Settings → Send feedback. You can attach a screenshot, and while its box is ticked it tells us what you were doing when it happened. You can also tell Showcase's assistant in its chat that something is wrong.
To report a person or a post, open their profile or the post, tap the menu, and choose Report. Only Showcase's admins see reports, and the person isn't told who sent one. Block in the same menu stops you seeing each other anywhere on Showcase.
Delete your account
Sign in at showcase.chat on any phone or computer and go to Settings → Your data → Delete account. It deletes your account, your list, your lists, your chats and your photo at once, and it can't be undone. The privacy policy lists the little that stays, without your name.
If you can't sign in any more, write to our support address (coming soon) from the email address on your account and we'll delete it for you.
Get a copy of your data
Settings → Your data → Download my data gives you a file with your profile, settings, list, lists, activity and who you follow.
Short answers
- How do I join?
- With a Google account, and either a friend's invite or by connecting Showcase from Claude or ChatGPT. Showcase takes a limited number of people for now, so sometimes it isn't taking new ones.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Showcase is free and has no ads.
- Who can see my list?
- To start, anyone with the link, signed in or not. Choose friends only, or only you, at Settings → Account → Who can see you.
- How do I use Showcase from Claude or ChatGPT?
- Settings → Connections → AI assistants has the address to add and the steps. You sign in with the same Google account, and the assistant can then search and change your list and lists, follow people and send us feedback for you. To stop it, remove Showcase in that assistant's own settings.
- The assistant got something wrong.
- It's an AI and it can. Tell it in the chat ("that's not the right film") and it will try again; that also tells us.
